Gary Howells Fly Rod 8'6" 2/2 #7A superb Gary Howells fly rod 8'6", 2 piece, 2 tips, and built for a #7 line. Weighs 4. 9 oz. Serial #4565. Mint condition. A nice, medium action. This is the last rod made in 1979 and is listed as a 7wt. I can find no sign that this rod was ever used. Excellent varnish. The node pattern is 3 up and the rod has been oven tempered. Brown wraps with yellow edges. Chrome guides and tip tops. The keeper is 1 flat left as well as the lettering "8 1 2' 4 5
The tips are thin and delicate enough to softly present a dry fly to a distant riser
