Lot 002 - Antique Oil On Wood Panel Portrait Painting Of A Woman In White Gown With Star Ornament In Hair, Signed Lower Left, Circa Late 19th Century, 8-1/2" x 10-3/4"Antique oil painting on wood panel depicting a formally posed woman in a white gown with a small star ornament in her hair. The work is signed in red at lower left, though signature is indistinct and not clearly attributable. Appears to be "Chaplin Fabziel." A handwritten label is affixed to the reverse with partially legible text. Surface shows scattered wear and abrasions consistent with age. Panel edges with rubbing and handling marks.
