These works are after widely circulated late 19thearly 20th century devotional paintings, showing Mary with lilies and her flaming heart, and Christ crowned with thorns, eyes uplifted in prayer. Each is housed in its original ornate gesso on wood frame with age wear, surface losses, and toning consistent with age.

and a clip on the side for mounting
