Bogdan 400 Fly Reel

Bogdan 400 Fly ReelFor sale here is a very scarce Model 400 Bogdan reel. The reel is left hand retrieve and in near mint condition, with only a few extremely minor marks to the rims as shown in the very clear and thorough photos attached here. These model 400s are extremely hard to find and especially in this condition. The reel has the initials "R. L. T." inscribed into the handle side of the reel. The cap bears the Payne trademark stamp as well as the “Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch New York” stamp dating it to pre-1963 (the first Payne Parabolic rods were made in 1936)

Blued nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a mortised walnut spacer

Comes with its original stitched leather tube embossed with the T&T logo and its original protective rod bag
