For general maintenance and weeding of borders we've found them to be all that we really need. The Japanese hand hoes that we've been using are very functional in their design and manufacture. They are massively strong and durable but the finish of the welding etc is certainly agricultural. This double sided hand hoe from Sneeboer is the polar opposite.
