Leather Rod TubeFor sale here is an fairly recently made leather rod tube, measuring 32" long and 2 1 4" diameter. Excellent original condition.
The one issue being that one guide wrap is beginning to crack and will require a dap of varnish to secure it for years to come
Condition is very good for the age
One of the two original tips is 3/4" short and has a later vintage tip top
Rich honey colored wraps with black tipping
The rod features beautiful darkly tempered cane often seen on Orvis rods from this era
The ferrule fits are good and the rod is straight
two sections with a single tip section for a 5 weight line
The Wet tip has never been used
For sale here is a 4 1/4" Hardy Perfect wide drum fly reel with MKII check from the late 1920's
Many guys prefer to re-shape the springs on these Uniquas and fish them left-hand retrieve
For sale here is a super scarce Hardy Perfect
We rarely see his rods on the resale market
