Shigaraki TsuboLarge tsubo from Shigaraki used for pickling vegetables. Large Shigaraki vessels were typically of high iron content clay resulting in a pleasing red brown color and with high silica content. They were often fired for weeks at a time resulting in wood ash deposits.
